After showing a survey yesterday, now i'm going to present the report of it.
College Students Eating Habit
A. Introduction
College student is not a kid anymore. They should do their job, study hard,
join the organizations, and many more. With their activities, they should eat
properly to support their body. However,
most of college students do not pay attention to their eating habit. This survey
was done to find out how is college student eating habit in their college life.
For further usage, this survey can be useful for who want to do business in the
culinary field, who college students is the target market.
B. Method
The research was done by providing an online survey (using Google Forms) done by the respondent, who is
primarily targeting college students. The survey was done by 31 respondents,
with 71% of them is female and the rest is male student. The survey was spread via WhatsApp, BlackBerry Messenger, and Facebook, and the data was collected by Monday, 9th May, 2016.
C. Findings

From that, we know that most of college student is not eat regularly
everyday. Sometimes they could eat three times,
or just two times. Usually, they just eat two times, and combine the
breakfast and lunch ( called brunch ). This fact is related to this following
diagram.

We know that, maybe the reason of why college student can’t eat regularly
is financial factor. Seen from the diagram, the main reason of choosing place
to eat is the price. College student have to manage their own money, so
choosing cheap place to eat is one way to reduce the monthly outcome. From the
another question, Burjo/Warmindo (55 % ) is chosen as the most favorite place
to eat near campus. We know that Burjo/Warmindo is known as the place to eat
that provide affordable price for college student. They tend to spend little
amount of money. From the survey, the respondents answered that they just spend
maximum IDR 20k for a single meal.

What is college student like to eat? Great majority shows that the favorite
is daily food, just like their food at home. The simple taste will remind them
of their meal at home. Vegetables ( 48 %) is the most favorite menu, followed
by chicken (39 %), show that college student is not usually eat fancy food.
They also tend to eat the same menu, and just try different menu if they feel
bored with usual menu.

Today, internet is primary needs. So, it is not shocking when free wi-fi is
chosen as the most favourite additional facility by majority. The tendency of
college student who come with their friend, and also not just for eat, is the
factor of this result. It also related to financial factor too, for those
student who is lack of internet quota.
D. Conclusion
It is totally clear that eat is important things in life, but for college
student, they can’t eat regularly as most of people do, proven by majority (55
%) that is not sure how many times the eat each day. It can be because of
financial factor, to reduce outcome. College students naturally choose cheap place to eat, with home-like
menu or daily menu, and also hope for free wi-fi is available there. However,
this survey was limited to small, nearly environment of college students. The
result may differ if the survey range is expanded and could attract more
respondents.
